Scythe Kaze Chrono Review

Verdict and Conclusion

The new Kaze Chrono 4-channel fan controller totally ignores the common display concepts by sporting a highly unique, “XL”-size LCD display informing the user of fan rpms, temperature and the time of day (or night, for that matter). Information is conveyed via an easy-to-read, “Tetris-style”, light blue display.

1500-rpm-greater

For PC temperature control, the Kaze Chrono offers 4 sensors with a measuring range of 0° to 100° Celsius.Via a small jumper switch, the user is able to choose between Celsius and Fahrenheit readout. Should the temperature exceed 75°C, or should a fan failure occur, the Kaze Chrono will give an optical as well as acousitc shout for quick intervention. Our newest addition to our fan controller line-up combines a modern, simple design with a number of practical functions for keeping an eye on temperature and fan action.

I must say, its really easy to use and to set up, If you are not afraid to open up your computer that is, but I don’t thing people like that will even buy a fan controller like this. There isn’t much more to say about it so lets just look to the Pros and Cons…

Pros

– Big display

– multi-functional

– Simple to use

Cons

– Can be difficult to install in cases with tool-less 5.25″ bays

Final Words:

For 30 euros you have a multi-functional fan controller with a nice, big LCD display. I like the options to connect up to 4 fans, multiple temperature sensors and an option to show the time. The Scythe Kaze Chrono is a very nice fan controller with a lot of potential, easy to operate and it also looks great.
