Verdict and Conclusion
What can I say about the Asus BRT-828 AC2600 … a boring business-oriented router? Well, it’s one the fastest router (wired LAN), we’ve tested to date. It gives me up to 90% speed of my 1 Gigbit fiber, that’s 899.95 Mbps… so I really can’t complain.
The only thing I could want more (or improvement) is better wireless speeds. For 5GHz wifi, I was only getting 322.19 Mbps on the Asus BRT-828 AC2600, versus 534.75 Mbps on the Asus RT-AC68U AC1900. Still, it’s more than I could ask for.
Hong Kong Broadband’s 1 Gigbit fiber service is the “nuts” … and with wired LAN speeds of up to 899.95 Mbps, everything just seems so much faster.
For the business user, the router has options to set various settings for Adaptive and Smart QoS, this means you can assign and prioritize applications such as gaming, media streaming, VIOP, FTP etc.
