The Box and Packaging
The box comes with an quick start guide, a DC 20V 6A power adaptor, a US power cord, a Phillips screwdriver, a HDMI cable, a DisplayPort cable, USB A-to-B cable, VESA wall mounting plate, and the monitor arm and base.
The Monitor Itself
The monitor is flat and NOT curved, and with an aspect ration of 16:9, it makes it perfect for both gaming and content creation. You also get an incline/tilt angle of 4°~21.5° and a swivel angle of 30°. Total weight of the monitr is around 6.41 kgs. The monitor features narrow borders and frameless design that offer the minimal bezel distraction for gamers.
A Closer Look
On the underside of he monitor, you’ll find the DC 20V power input, 2 x HDMI port, 2 x DisplayPort, 1 x 3.5mm audio out, and 2 USB 3.2 ports. You’ll also find a joystick at the back allows you select various gaming modes via their G-Menu.
The monitor comes with 2 x 5W built-in speakers which comes in handy if you don’t any headphones. And there’s also a latch for cable management and a mini-handle which is ideal for transportation … it’s perfect for epsorts gamers!
The monitor can be rotated 90° either left or right to give to portrait mode. It also comes with Light FX, which is a special lighting feature at the back of the monitor, that illuminates your gaming setup in various colors. Nice!
Windows 11 Display Settings
During normal Windows 11 operation, you can see the maximum resolution offered is 2560×1440 which is QHD resolution. No issues here. For refresh rate, I went in to “Advance Display” settings and manually selected 240Hz. You can of course lower it to your liking … 200Hz, 165Hz or 144Hz is good enough for gaming too!

Radeon Software Adrenalin – Adaptive Sync Premium (Enabled)
Adaptive Sync Premium can be easily enable via the Radeon Software Adrenalin.
Nvidia G-Sync Enabled
Nothing else to do here. The Nvidia drivers will intuitively detect your monitor’s capability to support G-Sync. If it does, it will automatically be enabled via the Nvidia’s Control Panel.
Verdict and Conclusion
We put the AGON Pro AG276QZD 27″ Gaming Monitor through several hours of 1440p gaming, and I’m happy to say I more than pleased with the results. The OLED screen is bright and clear, with deep blacks and vibrant colours. It offers an impressive contrast ratio of 80M:1 with an an eye-popping refresh rate of 240Hz and a fast GtG (Grey-to-Grey) response rate of 0.03ms. All these great features delivers a much smoother gaming experience.
The monitor is equipped with 2 x DisplayPort 1.4 ports, 2 x HDMI 2.0 ports, 2 x USB 3.2 ports, 2 x 5W speakers and a 3.5mm output jack. In order to get the full 240Hz refresh rate, I highly recommend you use some high quality DisplayPort cables that can support v1.4.
Other video features which make this monitor stand out from the crowd is the support for HDR10 and it’s compatible for Nvidia’s G-Sync as well as AMD’s FreeSync Premium. And as I mentioned earlier, the monitor is also compatible with PS5 and XBox offering QHD gaming at 120Hz, which great news for console owners.
So a 27″ monitor good enough for 1440p gaming? In my opinion … yes, as long as your graphics card can handle 2560×1440 resolution, then it shouldn’t be an issue. As you are aware, this monitor is flat and NOT curved, and comes with an aspect ration of 16:9. This makes it ideal for both gamers and content creators. Remember, not all curved monitors can be good for gaming. In most cases, a flat monitor with a high refresh rate and low response times could be better.
Now let’s talk price. For those who don’t know … most monitors on the market that are compatible with Nvidia’s G-Sync, cost quite a lot more over FreeSync compatible monitors. Wny? G-Sync monitors contain the extra hardware needed to support Nvidia‘s version of adaptive refresh, with a typical price premium of $200 or more over a monitor of similar spec.
So with that said, the AGON Pro AG276QZD 27″ Gaming Monitor right now costs a whopping USD $999 (but recently reduced to $799).
Final Words
If price is of no concern, then the AGON Pro AG276QZD 27″ Gaming Monitor is definitely a luxury item for the hardcore gaming “whale” or esports professional. The premium price is easily justified by its high specs, which includes a lightning-fast refresh rate of 240Hz, an unmatched GtG response time of 0.03ms, and an OLED display supporting HDR10 and G-Sync compatibility.
