We’ll be taking a quick look at the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Creator Combo. This combo kit is designed for content creators and vloggers, and combines all the best features of the Osmo Pocket 3, along with the added convenience of the DJI Mic 2.
First, let’s talk about the Osmo Pocket 3. It features a large 1-inch CMOS sensor and can capture 4K @ 120fps UHD footage in smooth and dynamic detail.

A Closer Look
Weighing in at around 179g, the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 is fairly compact and fits nicely in the palm of my hand. It’s amazing how anyone can pack so much technoology in to such a small package. Adding the Osmo Pocket 3 Handle or the Battery Handle will allow a better grip for people with larger hands.
On the bottom right underneath the OLED screen is the power-on button, while on the left side, you’ll find the joystick for controlling the camera’s position (or zoom).
The OLED screen has a resolution: 314×556 and 500 nits brightness. It’s fantastic to use. Just flick it up for landscape mode (horizontal) and flick it back down to default back to portratit mode (vertical).
The DJI Mic 2 Transmitter
What I really like about the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Creator Combo is the bundled DJI Mic 2 transmitter. Although you only get one unit, it will get you started right away without having to figure out which wireless microphone to get. You also have the ability to connect up to two DJI Mic 2 Transmitters to the Osmo Pocket 3.
This poweful little microphone is omnidirectional and allows 24-bit stereo recording at 48kHz, which will give you amazing audio quality.
The DJI Mic 2 works flawlessly with the Osmo Pocket 3, as it easily recognises the microphone and pairs it instantly without having to do it manually. What’s more, it even comes with the windscreen (dead cat) included.
The Menu
The menu system on the OLED touchscreen is easy to navigate. Here’s a quick rundown on the icons from left to right and top to bottom.
- The first icon on the top left is for saving and selecting your profiles.

Recording modes include … Panorama, Photo, Video, Low-Light, Slow Motion, and Time-Lapse. The unit comes with1300 mAh battery, and according to DJI the total battery life is around 166 mins (operating time) from a full charge. What’s neat is that you charge the Osmos Pcoket 3 up to 80% capacity in only 16 Mins.
Conclusion and Verdict
I’ve always wanted a decent vlogging camera (with good stabilization) that I can easily use for shooting videos on the move. A good scenario would be outdoors, or during an exhibition or event, or may at a concert. Now, there are stabalizers/gimbals out there for DSLR cameras and mobile phones, but I hate using them as they’re bulky and extremly inconvenient if the battery runs out.
I want something that will fit in my pocket … something that is compact, light-weight and easy to use. Yes, my search is over. Meet the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 … and may I add, it’s defintely worth getting the Creator Combo for that little extra.

The DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Creator Combo comes with everything I need to start vlogging and recording right out of the box. You get the extra battery handle (950 mAh), the DJI Mice 2 Transmitter for crystal clear audio and a carry pouch to store it all.
The DJI app is easy to set up and use. I can use my phone like a monitor and I can easily use it control the Osmo Pocket 3. Transferring files from the app to the cloud or computer is easy as pie too!
But the best feature in my opinion is the Active Track 6.0 for facial tracking. It’s very responsive and fluid, making my videos pop! … It’s like as if there’s a camera man helping you record.
