Case Interior:
Now lets take a look at the interior of the DS Cube!
The case interior is not so big, but its a small case capable to house mini and micro ATX motherboards, for that there is space enough. A special thing, the motherboard needs to be mounted flat and not on the side of the case like most cases. If you want to use multiple graphic cards big or multiple water cooler(s) or multiple expansion cards, I won’t recommend this case because it is a little bit small for those things. however if you just want a small computer with simple hardware or only one graphic card, small water cooler or small air cooler, then the case will surly do. I just don’t recommend 2-way SLI or Crossfire X with this case.
Here we can see the power supply mounting place, with a dust filter to prevent dust entering your PSU. I personally think that the small area will be frustrating when plugging in other cables if you have a modular supply and if you have a non modular one it will be a little cramped but you can easily hide them behind the drive bay.
Here we can see the 2 3.5″ drive slots, you can also install 2.5″ drives here but there is a better place for that. The Drives can be installed toolless by taking out the slot and pulling open, then you can install the drive and close the drive bay.
You only have 2 3.5″ mounting slots but I think that will suffice.
Then here we have something really cool, a 2.5″ drive bay. Its the first time I ever seen tis in a case, but i love it. Now you don’t need to waste a 3.5″ for an SSD. There are 4 screws and shock absorbers for each 2.5″ drive included, you have to insert the screws into the shock absorbers and then fasten it to the drive, when you are done you can slide it into the rack.
The case only has one 5.25″ and one 3.5″ front slots, but for a small case that is more then enough. With all the downloadable games on Steam, Origin, Uplay,… Downloadable Music services like iTunes, Last FM,… not many people use DVD writers these days.
