Exterior
Now lets take a look at the chassis itself! The new Aerocool GT-S Black edition is absolutely beautiful!
The case has a magnetic front panel you can place on the 5.25″ drive bays to cover it, or if you have an DVD/Blu-ray reader or a fan controller or something else installed on the bay’s you can still use the cover to protect the other bays. I really like they gave you the choise what to do with the front cover, I guess most of you don’t really like the 5.25″ bays so then you can cover it with the cover panel, but if you like it leave it off or place it down.
I really love the top of the case, it reminds me of the sentinel armor set in Dragon Age origins Awakening brings back good times… Aerocool advertises the top as ‘Gaming top panel, I say It sure is!
The Aerocool GT-S has a big window, where you can look too your gorgeous hardware, but if you have multiple GPU’s you maybe want some extra airflow over your GPU’s too cool it down. Then you can mount either two 120mm or 140mm fan on the window. The Side panel itself is very strong and wont bend easily cause its a made of a firmly material, I like that.
Then another thing i do like is the front I/O panel: it has 2x USB 3.0, 2x USB 2.0 and a mic and headphone plug. Its simple but it don’t need to be much more, also beneath the panel there is a nice aluminum sign with ‘GT Aerocool Design’ written on it really nice!
On the right side of the case we have big power and smaller reset button, with above that the power LED. They look good an the reset button is great too press, but the power is a little too big to get the same feedback like the reset switch. and they do feel a little bit ‘cheap’
Then on the left side we have the fan controlller with a speed up and speed down button, i like the big buttons but they have a bit of the same problem like the power switch a bit hard to press and bend a little. but beside that i like the buttons!
Most of the time you mount your PSU with the fan faced downwards so they suck up ‘fresh’ air, but it also sucks up dust around it witch can cause overheating issues or other problems. So i like to see dustfilters included on the PSU mounting place, its a simple slide-in/slide-out design and the filter is washable so good job!
So I guess that wraps it up for the exterior of the case…
