Aerocool GT-S (Black Edition) Review

Interior

Lets take a look at the Interior of the GT-S:

If you remove the two solid side panels you can see the full inside of the case and its no just big, its huge! The case is made with the gamer in mind, a nice gamer-ish design and room enough for all components you wish to fit in like: 2-way or more SLI/CrossfireX custom loop watercooling with multiple radiators,… you can do fit it all!

Here you can see the full inide of the case with a big CPU cutout, something i really like to see in modern up-to-date cases, so you can easily switch or remove your CPU cooler without removing the motherboard first and than placing the whole thing in again. Then we can see the tool-lees designs of the PCIe slots, the 5.25″ drive bays and the hard drive bays but i will talk about that in just a sec.

Lets take a look to the cable management options the GT-S provides us.

We can see three cutouts covered by rubber grommets next to where the RAM is located on the motherboard, then beneath the motherboard and also next to the power supply we can see another big cutout also covered by rubber grommets. I really appreciate Aerocool used a big cutout on this place just for the fact its a ‘gamer’ case so from experience i know gamers need much power cables to provide the necessary juice to a there components and especially if you use multiple graphic cards, so its nice you have a bit space to route all the power cables and front panel connectors behind the motherboard tray. The rubber grommets help to keep the place clean without to see all the cables behind it.

Then you also have the little mounting places to attach zip ties so you can keep all your cables nice and clean.

Next we shall take a look at the tool-less design of the case!

So the case has 3 types of a tool-less design

The 5.25″ Drive bays:
you just have to slide in the drive you want in one of the 5 slots, then you just have to lock it by pressing and sliding the two (on both sides one) red clip to the left. Done you now have installed a 5.25″ drive, the only bad thing its a little bit hard to unlock then but its not like you’re going to change it every week

Then next up we have the hard drive bays:
you have to slide out the HDD bay and place your HDD in it, although i would recommend to screw it in wit minimum 2 screws. if you want to install an 2.5″ HDD or an SSD you can simply drop it in the bay and screw it in (its smaller so it wound stay there)

At last we come to the PCIe slots:
Its a really simple design I like to see more: just pull the clip take out the cover(s) slide in your expansion card and press the clips to lock it, done!

With the case there are also two dust filters include on the floor, the one under the power supply is removable by just pulling it. the other you need to unscrew.

So that was the interior, now its time for a last look…
