Verdict
The Strike-X Xtreme is a great chassis with great features and a good looking design. The build quality of the case is great and it does not feel cheap; and I like that. The good points of the case are: a very nice “X” themed design, USB 3.0 something I do expect in newer cases + this case has an option to use the USB 3.0 as a USB 3.0 port with a USB 2.0 motherboard adapter for people who have an older motherboard, cool lighting on the front + the 180mm and 140mm fans have red LEDs and the 5.25″ bays are tool-less. Unfortunate the 3.5″ bays aren’t tool-less, the PCIe slots need to be removed permanently and the cable management holes are on the small size. The case does have its downsides but its a relatively cheap case, for around 60 euros you can own one. And when building a new computer its definitely worth looking at.
Pros:
– Cool design
– 5.25″ drive bays have a tool-less design
– USB 3.0
– Lighting effects on front + 2 fans also have LED’s
Cons:
– PCI brackets are impossible to remove by regular ways
– Hard drives slots not tool-less
– Cable management holes rather small
Final Words:
So what is the Strike-X Xtreme? Well readers, it is a mid tower case with enough room for all of your standard hardware. When I say standard, with that I mean I would not recommend it if you want to install top of the line hardware with custom loop water coolers or such just for the reason that it is a bit to small and you don’t have enough room for cable management. But if you’re just looking for a solid case with room enough for an ATX motherboard, one or maybe two graphic cards and an air or closed loop watercooler nothing over the top I would say why not? If you like the design of the case and you don’t have too much cables to install/hide then the Strike-X Xtreme is a great case.
