Case Exterior
First of all lets take a look at the packaging of the Xpredator X3.
First that comes up in my head is games and high-end components with this case, the dragon, lights top cover,… And I think this was just Aerocool’s purpose. As this is one of their gaming series cases, and as a gamer myself i love space, LED’s and a cool look. Also no one has such a big case to just install simple low-end components, NO gamers love high end hardware and especially a big powerful GPU. So I really find the case attractive for gamers.
Like almost all chassis’ they are packed in a cardboard box with 2 big pieces of foam and a plastic foil, and if you took a look at the box above it has had some punches but the case itself has nothing. Thanks foam!
Behold the Aerocool Xpredator X3 Gaming series Chassis!
Its a metal case with a mesh finish, something I like on high-end and gaming cases, cause they mostly have some heavy components who tend to get hot while working or gaming. So a good airflow is a must! On the side and the top there is a red finish (from there the name Devil Red) You can also see 3 5.25″ drive bays while the lowest one also can hold a 3.5″ accessory like a card reader.
Here you have another look at the case, the windowed side panel which can holds 2 120mm or 2 140mm fans for even more cooling! You can also see the special top cover but more about that in a while. And of course the I/O of the case but more about that a bit later.
Here you can see the I/O of the Xpredator X3 Devil Red case. You have 2 fan controllers 2 times a USB 3.0 connector a usual audio and mic port and the power on button. One thing I do miss is a reset button on the case, cause that comes in handy in some occasions. But there is a cool feature you don’t see much on an I/O panel and that is a 2.5″ hot swap bay. The slot right above the power button, you can just stick in a 2.5″ hard drive to make a backup or something and remove it when you are done. No need to open your case and hook up the SATA data and power cables to the drive. You do need to hook up the included cables to the PSU and motherboard if you wish to use it.

Here you have a closer look at the special designed top panel of the case, with the little red switch on the side you can either open or close the ventilation and it just looks very cool in my eyes!

Now lets take a look at the included accessories of this case.
Obviously you have a user’s manual in multiple languages which shows all things pre-installed and included. How to hook up all the cables to the case and how to install hard drives and optical drives.
All the screws you can possibly need to install the power supply, all the hard drives you want (3.5″ drives can be installed tool-less) motherboard standoffs,… a couple of zip ties for cable management to get a clean look and better airflow in the case and a USB 3.0 to USB 2.0 adapter for people who have motherboards that don’t support USB 3.0 yet.
