Antec DF700 Flux Mid Tower Chassis Review

Conclusion and Verdict

For something that comes with so many fan I am surprised it doesn’t cost more. And another thing the case doesn’t sound like an air filter (but it may catch just as much dust). The fans are decent quality but may be hard to replace with an identical one if one does happen to go out. That is the only downside I can even muster up about this case. They do offer the 120mm reverse fan on the website but nothing that resembles the fans that come with the case. But from what I can tell you shouldn’t have to worry about anything because these fans seem to be high quality and Antec stands behind their products. The unique front panel and bright RGB from the fans make this case pop. The mesh is dense and holds up well. You can apply pressure to front and not have to worry about messing up the front mesh. Lets just say its no where as flimsy as a magnetic dust catcher. This cases looks are definitely stylish and very functional.

Now for a quick break down of the thermals. The constant air movement is really beneficial. This really shows not only in motherboard temps but because you have a fan directly below you graphics, you will seen a dramatic decrease in those temperatures. In fact compared to an open test bench without any air flow I recorded idle temps of a RTX 3070 around 49 degrees Celsius. Mind you this is with the fan stop active. With the DF700 I watched those temps decrease to 42 degrees. This applied to every part of the system as well. The motherboard VRM’s ran 4-5 degrees cooler. Now when everything is in full tilt the temps were pretty much the same as my open test bench. That is saying a lot when you are comparing a case to an open test bench. This case has great cooling capabilities some of the best thermals when comparing cases to cases. This is all thanks to the F-LUX cooling platform. Move the fresh air in and get the hot stagnate air out and you are good to go.
