Antec P280 Mid Tower Case Review

Installation

Ready for full install pictures? I moved my work computer into the Shinobi XL for testing purposes. This is the hardware used:

  • Gigabyte Z77-UD3H
  • Intel i5 3570K
  • ARCTIC i30 Cooler
  • G.Skill 2x4Gb 1866mhz Sniper Memory
  • MSI Radeon 7850
  • Corsair TX750 power supply
  • Western Digital 2TB hard drive
  • Silicon Design 60gb SSD
  • Antec P280 Case

Cable management on this case is quite good. There are plenty of locations for sticking cables through and making things look nice and clean. People with a non-modular power supply need not worry either. The backside of the motherboard tray offers tons of space for hiding cables that are not needed.

Planning on using a tower heatsink? A 120mm heatsink fit with ease. For those who are interested in watercooling, a 2x120mm radiator can easily fit in the top of the case or in the front.Smaller self-contained loops with a single 120mm radiator will have no problems being mounted at any fan location on the case, assuming the tubing is long enough.

In fact, you can also add two extra fans to the front of the case.Neither of which will connect to the built-in fan controllers unless you choose to get a splitter for a 3-pin fan connection.

The Radeon 7850 used through testing looks absolutely tiny compared to the rest of the case. So mounting a larger video card will cause no problems at all with all that space left.

Time for a rating, don’t you think?
