The Final Build
Our test build contains the Intel Core Ultra 7 265K CPU, ASRock Z890 Taichi OCF motherboard, Kingston FURY Renegade RGB 96GB DDR5-6400 memory kit, Gigabyte RX9070XT Elite 16GB graphics card, and FSP MEGA TI 1650W PSU. The liquid cooling components are the Apex CPU block, Core distro plate, and full copper 360x45mm radiator from Alphacool. All the fans are APNX FP1 series.
The presented build will stay with us and be used in future component reviews, like the fastest DDR5 RAM. Even though it may look quite complicated for some readers, it’s meant to be easy to replace components, have good airflow, and offer high performance. Even though the APNX V1 isn’t the largest PC case, it covers all the mentioned needs and looks fantastic.
The CPU’s temperatures were nearly identical, regardless of whether the side glass panel was installed. On the graphics card, we could see a slightly higher temperature, about 2°C higher, so it’s also insignificant. Since it reflects light, we removed it for photos. The case’s design isn’t very restrictive, and even if we don’t install many fans, the airflow is still pretty good. Installing fans on the front/side panel for the best airflow would be optimal, but since we decided on custom liquid cooling with a 45mm thick radiator, the front panel had to be occupied by a distro plate.
Our example build shows that the APNX V1 offers many more possibilities than most competitive PC cases. It’s a product that proves that little things matter, as a few mm here and there can give us a huge advantage if we wish to install less-standard components. These little things are what enthusiasts and modders are willing to spend their money on.
The photos below show how much we can pack on the back of the case.
It’s one of the most uncomplicated PC cases I have worked with. Even though it’s not the best-looking cable management, it still doesn’t look bad, especially when there is a complete set of modular cables, cable extensions, two fan splitters, and seven fans with ARGB connectors. There is still plenty of space for more.
The APNX V1 is an exceptional PC case, especially compared to competitive products at a similar price.
The only issue right now is the availability of the vertical graphics card mount. Even though it’s mentioned on the APNX website, it’s nearly impossible to buy. We hope to see it sooner rather than later, as the manufacturer mentioned it should be ready for shipping soon.
