Cooler Master Masterbox NR200P MAX Chassis Review (inc. 850W SFX PSU)

Conclusion and Verdict

Let me tell you … building a Mini-PC from scratch isn’t all that straight forward. First, you have to think about the chassis, then the type of cooling you’ll need, and then there the SFX power supplies, which is extremely expensive.

Cooler Master has taken away all that headache with their MasterBox NR200P Max SFF Chassis. It’s basically a barebones ready-to-build Mini-PC that has a built-in 280mm AIO cooler. But the real star of the show … is the included 850W Gold SFX power supply. It’s fully modular and comes with some nice braided modular cables. Just the SFX power supply on its own cost an eye-popping USD $160! – https://amzn.to/3WdvSTa.

During our mini-PC build, we used an ASRock B550-ITX motherboard, along with a Ryzen 7 4750G, plus 16GB of Adata XPG Spectrix DDR4-3600 ram. We also installed  an EVGA GeForce RTX 3090, which is a full-length graphics card. Everything fitted in nicely, albeit very tight.

Originally I was worried about operating temperature of the system, especially when there’s very limited space for air-flow in the chassis due to it’s compact size. But to my surprise, full load temperatures reached a high of only 80 degrees Celsius. I guess the included 280mm AIO cooler, along with its 2 x 140mm fans are doing a fantastic job of cooling the entire system. So no complaints here!

All-in-all, I love the compact size of the chassis, the high-quality build, the included 280mm AIO cooler and of course the star of the show … the impressive 850W Gold SFX power supply. All you need now, is a mini-ITX mothebroard, CPU, and ram … and that’s it! You can also add a full-length graphics card if you need to (up to 336mm).

You can buy the Cooler Master Masterbox NR200P MAX Chassis for around USD $442 from Amazon – https://amzn.to/3ymOCFE. Although the chassis is expensive, you have to realize that it does come included with a 280mm AIO cooler plus an impressive 850W Gold SFX power supply … these 2 components themselves costs over USD $250+

The Cooler Master Masterbox NR200P MAX is the perfect, ready-to-build, compact SSF chassis for any system builder, who wants build a mini-PC using a mini-ITX motherboard.
