A Closer Look: Exterior
The first impression I get from the N600 is that the design is neither simple or over the top. This chassis could very well be used in a workstation environment and has enough modern looks to fit in with other gamestream designs. The mesh used on the front bezel looks really attractive and is accented by a black mirror finish around the outside edges. Also present are the power and reset buttons, two USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, and the standard headset inputs. The N600 supports up to three 5.25″ devices.
The passenger side of this particular N600 model does not have a window. It does, however, have a vented sidepanel with support for either two 120mm fans or one 180mm fan.
The driver side of the N600 has a filtered vent for a 240mm radiator or a 120mm fan that can be installed behind it.
The rear side of the N600 reveals two holes with rubber grommets that can support a 120mm radiator for water cooling or the 120mm fan that comes with this particular N600 model. Next to the expansion slots is an optional slot for say a fan controller or other device. Beneath all of that is the place where our PSU will be mounted.
The bottom of the N600 reveals a removeable filter and two vents for the power supply and optional 120mm fan installation. Also present are four standard plastic feet to elevate the chassis from the surface it sits on for proper air ventilation. Rubber feet would have been better to absorb potential vibration, however in most setups that point will be moot.
The top of the N600 reveals that it too has a removeable filter. Here we have the liberty to install either two 120mm fans or a 240mm radiator. Just in case you have not been keeping track, the N600 has support for up to three water cooling radiators!
Now that we have examined the exterior of the N600, let us take a closer look at the interior!
