Corsair iCUE LINK 3500X RGB Mid-Tower Case Review

Installation

During our installation, we used a MSI Z790 Project Zero motherboard, and that fitted nicely inside the chassis. Now that all the power connectors and pin-headers are on the reverside of the motehrboard, plugging in all the cables is so much easier and pretty effortless.

For CPU cooling, we installed the Corsair iCUE H150i Elite LCD XT AIO cooler on the top of the chassis. Again, no issues here and everything fitted nicely.

We didn’t mount any extra coolings to the case, but as you can see in the photos, there’s plenty of room to install extra fans … whether it’s 120mm of 140mm, the choice is yours.

The iCUE LINK hub has a magnetic base, and this attaches to the hard drive plate (top right photo). Connecting all the cables to this can be a little cumbersome, but nothing we couldn’t handle.

The Finished Item

And here’s the finished item. As you can see, the interior of the system is completely cable-free with no visible cables connecting to the motherboard … all except of course, the 16-pin 12VHPWR power cable for the graphics card.

In the end, I’m very pleased with how the system turned out. Visually, it does look very clean and neat, but more importantly this case is really easy to work with.
