Conclusion and Verdict
Some of you may not like dual chamber chassis, becasue of the wider and larger footprint. If you’re one of those users, then the Corsair 3500X series of cases could be right up your alley … that’s if you don’t mind looking at the PSU cover at the bottom of the case.
Whatever your preference, the Corsair iCUE LINK 3500X RGB case has many features that users still want. Things like … stunning panoramic views, all-round removeable panels, compatibility with mini-ITX, micro-ATX, full-size ATX and EATX motherboards, as well as ASUS BTF and MSI Project Zero reverse-connection motherboards. What’s more, you also get three pre-installed iCUE LINK RX120 RGB fans with the control Hub included.
During our PC build, we used a MSI Z790 Project Zero motherboard to make sure that the case was fully compatible with reverse-connection motherboards. It fitted nicely inside the chassis with no issues at all. Plugging in all the cables was extremely easy and effortless.
Storage options include a removable drive plate that can accommodates up to 2x HDDs and 2x SSDs simultaneously. This is where the iCUE LINK hub is also attached magnetically.
The front I/O includes a reset button, an audio/microphone jack, 1 x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C Port, 2 x USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, and the main power button.
If you’re used to looking at dual chamber cases, then you might find the PSU cover on the 3500X a little off-putting. But having said that, the 3500X has a much narrower footprint, which means more deskspace for you. In any case, you can always “mod” the PSU cover by adding a LCD display or otherwise.
You can buy the Corsair 2500X Mid-Tower Dual Chamber Chassis for around USD $149.99 from Amazon – https://amzn.to/3WHHb8F
The standard Corsair 3500X with no fans only cost USD $89.99 – https://amzn.to/3Af7Ss6
