Now, let’s take a look at the package and its contents.

Package and its contents

The MORPHEUS chassis arrived in a large retail package, which is typical for PC cases and made of brownish cardboard. An additional sticker with a picture of the product points out what we should expect to find inside.

The chassis itself is well protected by thick styrofoam. The exterior of the package suggests some signs of pressure or maybe even hits, while the product inside is in perfect condition.

The package contents include everything we may need for the installation. There is a set of screws, a short user manual, an audio jack adapter, and some zip ties and stripes with the DeepCool logo. There is also a bag of Bits, a PCIe 4.0 x16 riser, and a box with additional modular components that let us change the internal design from single to dual chamber. Everything else is already in its place in the case.

The high-quality riser lets us reach a maximum of over 26GB/s in synthetic tests like 3DMark. It’s about the same result as on graphics cards installed directly on PCIe slots. We tested it on RTX 4070, RTX 4080, and RX7900 GRE graphics cards.

The tested case is painted black. It’s more like dark gray in reality but is still darker than in some of the photos. The metal surfaces and the window frame are similar colors, and the whole case is presented well.

Multiple air filters are located on the case’s top, bottom, front, and side. Since most panels are well-perforated, there is no problem with the airflow, and it’s one of the best cases if we wish to use many fans and large radiators.

The front panel is actually on the top. It includes an LED switch, one audio jack, four USB 3.2 type-A ports, and one USB type-C port. USB type-C devices are becoming more popular, and I wish to see at least two ports of this type instead of so many A-type.

The included programable display can show temperatures, such as CPU or GPU. Simple software, available on DeepCool’s website, can set everything. The display is connected via USB, so we must have a free connector on the motherboard.

Next, I will describe what I find the most important. I will skip the obvious things that are clear when looking at the product, which would be boring.
