The Final Build
Our test build contains the i9-14900K CPU, MSI Z790 Ace MAX motherboard, Kingston FURY Renegade RGB 96GB DDR5-6400 memory kit, Nvidia RTX 4070 FE graphics card, and DeepCool PX1300P 80+ Platinum PSU.
Inside the case, there are only preinstalled DeepCool fans and two 140/25mm fans from the Corsair AIO installed on top of it. It’s easy to see how much more space there is in the case; even though it’s maybe not the most demanding, it’s still a high-end setup.
The temperatures were nearly identical, whether the side glass panel was installed or not. Since it reflects light, we removed it for photos. The case’s design isn’t very restrictive, and even if we don’t install many fans, the airflow is still pretty good.
Our example build is more standard, but in the photo below, you can see how much space there is above and below the motherboard. We can install nearly every radiator we can imagine from those widely available. If we decide on a single-chamber option with only air cooling, then we can install the largest CPU coolers. Either way we choose, the MORPHEUS, which will cover our ideas. If we are changing the hardware often, then it’s also a good idea, as we can switch from single to dual chamber and move the display or the PSU to support all possible components.
The MORPHEUS also introduces Bits. Those small rubber “dots” let us create our own logos or signs on the perforated panels. The whole set lets us go for the Funky Kit sign seen in the photos. I would say there could be more Bits in the package. It’s possible to buy them separately, but they weren’t available when we received the case for review.
I build PCs quite often, and I won’t hide that most PC cases are quite disappointing once I’m in the middle of a build. Even though DeepCool MORPHEUS isn’t perfect, it’s much more satisfying to build in than most of the competitive PC cases. Once I finished the example PC, I totally forgot about the few issues that I had, and even though I had to mention them, they don’t feel important right now.
The MORPHEUS is a fantastic PC case, especially compared to competitive products at a similar price.
