Installation & Finished Look
When installing our hard drive we first selected the appropriate mounting bracket, which in this case was the SSD bracket mounted behind the motherboard tray. Although the process is pretty simple, it is not tool-less. Both situations require screws.
Once we installed the SSD, we simply reattached the mounting bracket to the chassis. This actually serves the chassis well as it hides the drives out of sight. If the space is there why not use it, right?
Installing the optical drive was also quick and painless, however again; there is not a tool-less option here. The drive needs to be secured with screws.
As you probably could expect, the installation of the power supply was just as simple as any other chassis out there.
From this point, we install the rest of our components accordingly. Notice the amount of space available afterwards; plenty of room leftover for proper airflow and ventilation!
In no time at all, some basic cable management was accomplished and not only serves the setup aesthetically, but for improved airflow as well.
The ARC Mini R2 does have a certain appeal, don’t you think? Well done Fractal Design.
