Conclusion and Verdict
Initially, I wasn’t too sure if I really liked the N90 chassis, but the more I look at it, the more it’s grown on me. The curved 270 degrees tempered glass panel is an acquired taste. Not everyone likes it, but it does offer a stunning panoramic view and reminds me of a “fish tank”.
As far as compatibility is concerned, the case is large enough to support all the latest ATX motherboards, including reverse connection motherboards from Asus, Gigabyte and MSI. It can support GPUs up to 415mm in length, and if you get the optional GPU support bracket with the PCIE 4.0 riser cable, it allows you to mount the GPU vertically.
During our PC build we used a MSI GeForce RTX 5080 Vamguard SOC Launch Edition (which takes up 2.5 PCIE slot space and measures 357mm in length). I’m happy to say, there was no issues whatsoever. We also tried a GeForce RTX 4080 Super (3 slot card) to see if it fits … it did!
For cooling, we used the Tryx PANORAMA SE ARGB 360 AIO cooler. We mounted the 360mm radiator on the top of the chassis. Again, installation was easy with no issues at all.
For storage, the N90 allows you to install up to 2 x 3.5″ hard drives and 2 x 2.5″ SSDs, which is plenty for most users. And lastly, you can install an optional LED screen n the bottom compartment to display personalised content or system data to monitor your PC’s health.
As far as ventilation is concerned, the side panel of the N90 chassis comes with ventilation holes featuring GAMEMAX’s signature claw-shaped design which they claim enhances cooling performance.
The 6 included 120mm ARGB fans are all connected to an onboard fan controller, which some of you may or may not like. The PCB/controller is SATA powered with a separtate PWM and ARGB cable, that needs to be plugged in to the motherboard. (To be honest, I’d rather have fans that can be daisy-chained).
As I mentioned before, the bottom 3 fans as well as the 2 side fans come with reverse fans blades to pull air in to the system. This is an added bonues and most cases don’t come with these type of fans.
No price or availability yet for the N90, but you can buy the original GAMEMAX N80 BK chassis for around USD $130 from Newegg – https://tinyurl.com/3jyy82cu
Final Thoughts
The GAMEMAX N90 chassis has a unique look and aesthetic, owing to its innovative top-and-bottom compartments, and a 270 degrees curved tempered glass panel that offers a stunning panoramic view. It offers good compatibility with a wide range of motherboards and large graphics cards, and comes with plenty of cooling options to support both 360mm and 240mm radiators. What’s more, it also includes 6 ARGB cooling fans (5 with reverse fan blades), something that you don’t see in most cases.
