Installation
Because the ID-Cooling Stream 2 Chassis is an open frame design, there’s plenty of room to get your hands in there. So building your system to the way you want it shouldn’t be a problem. Remember, this chassis does NOT support full size ATX motherboards, only micro-ATX and mini-ITX are compatible.
We tried a few 90-degree OD 16mm fittings with G1/4″ from Thermaltake, and it fitted perfectly. However the larger G1/4″ compression fitting OD 16mm from Thermaltake was not compatible. The outer ring was a little too big. I haven’t tried other compression fittings from EK, Bitspower or XSPC, but I’m sure they will fit. So I recommend to double check with ID-Cooling and the respective company buying the watercooling components.
We managed to mount a full size ATX power supply with no issues, as well as additional 120mm case fans. However, do be careful with the Aluminum bracket/plate which holds the fan and PSU … we found them to be bend a little when a large force is applied.
To test the size and position of the front bracket, we mounted an AIO cooler with a 240mm radiator … again no issues here. It fitted nicely.
