A Closer Look: Exterior
The 703 comes with a very classic and stunning look to it. Most of the 703 is comprised of SECC steel. However, the front panel is made of a red colored trim, which is plastic. An aluminum brushed plate to the front panel adds splendor to its look. Since the panel is built with 6 plastic clips that seem like they are easily breakable, while also having I/O ports wiring with no easy disconnect clips at the top, really makes it a pain to pop the front panel off. So be very careful if you are in need of taking the front panel off for any reason, like adding another 120mm fan. At the very top of the front cover is a plastic covering for the 5.25 optical drive bay. The covering has 2 plastic clips, much like the front cover. You will need to take the side panels off to push the clips in to take the cover off. The same goes for the aluminum front cover.
The front panel has a slot for an optical drive, air vents on each side, I/O ports residing at the top, a power button at the right side of the I/O ports and an aluminum brushed plate gives the 703 front panel an overall sleek design. The only thing I noticed was that In Win missed on the front panel is a reset button. Which is not that big of a deal to me. As you can see, the left side has a large protruding acrylic tinted window with the In Win name printed on it. Unlike the 707, the 703 has the words In Win written in white on their window. The window offers you a chance to show off your high-end components. While the left side does not offer the tinted window, it does protrude out a little bit which should help with cabling issues. Both sides are comprised of that SECC steel I wrote about earlier.
Around the back of the 703 you will see a pre-installed 120mm fan, seven expansion slots, two rubber grommets at the top, and some more ventilation on the right side of the fan. Unlike the 707, the 703 has no place to install water coolers or fans in the top of the chassis. If you were wanting to install a water cooler, you would most likely want to replace the rear 120mm fan or install the cooler in the bottom of the mid-tower. There is two filters at the very bottom of the case. One is for your power supply, while the other will keep dust out of your fan or water cooler. Also at the very bottom of the case is four little knobs that act like feet and keeps the mid-tower up off the ground.
