A Closer Look: Interior
The Phanteks Luxe will accommodate many different setups. The Luxe has room for eight expansion slots in the back. In the front of the chassis, the HDD tray will hold up to six drives as well as two dedicated SSDs on the backside of the motherboard panel. Now for the cooling, the front of the chassis can house two 120mm or a single 140mm fan, or the included 200mm fan. The top of the chassis can mount up to three 120mm or 140mm fans. For a water cooling unit you can imagine the room there will be if that many fans will fit inside. For video cards the maximum allowance is stated by Phanteks to be 347mm in length and with the HDD cage removed that length is 472mm. The height of the CPU cooler can be up to 193mm before clearance becomes an issue. When mounting a water cooler at the top of any chassis, the clearance to the motherboard can be an issue. However, with 65mm worth of room available, the chassis gives us plenty of room.
