Thermal performance
For all of my thermal testing I will be using a i5 6500 cooled by the Cooler Master G100M air cooler and a MSI Gaming X 1080TI with a overclock of 80MHZ on the core and 500 on the memory.
I will be comparing temperatures with my previous case the Cooler Master MasterBox Lite 5 this is not meant to downplay either case. Also I moded my MasterBox Lite 5 to have 3 top exhaust fans but these were unplugged for all of my testing since the stock case doesn’t have them.
MasterBox Lite 5 Temps
Now that we have the baseline temperatures from the previous case lets see if the P300 can perform as well or better with one less intake fan but one more exhaust.
Phanteks P300 Temperatures
After testing we can see that the P300 delivered slightly better temperatures when compared to a similarly shaped case but even so temperatures were only a couple of degrees lower than before.
Thermal performance was decent but nothing that will blow you out of the water, I do have a rather hot running GPU and a low profile CPU cooler so temperatures for me are naturally higher. You definitely shouldn’t run into any thermal problems with this case and the P300 will definitely not be a limiting factor when it comes to overclocking your components.
I rate the thermal performance of this case 4/5.
Now on to the final thoughts and conclusion!
