A Closer Look: Exterior
The front faceplate of the chassis is constructed of plastic, however it does sport a brushed finish look as did the Enthoo Primo. The lower half of the front panel is filtered and removable allowing direct access to the front 200mm intake fan. The front panel overall has a sleek look that is complimented by rounded corners and edges. The top bay has a door that when opened exposes the front panel connectors which includes two USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, the obligatory 3.5mm headset jacks as well as the reset button. The top of the chassis is home to the power button as well as the LEDs for power and HDD activity.
As we would expect, the window side of the Enthoo Pro is shipped with protective plastic covering the window panels to prevent scratches or other blemishes during shipping and handling. The chassis features a split window design that gives a full view of the installed hardware. Both window panels have a smoked tint to them which is also a nice touch. The smaller window is basically just an accent that shows the Phanteks logo plate installed inside. All of the material used here feels durable and is of quality construction. The aesthetics up to this point are nearly identical to the Primo, which of course is a fantastic thing.
The right side of the chassis is simple in design with not a whole lot going on.
The rear of the chassis has a pretty standard layout that follows the typical standards of chassis available today. There are also vent holes scattered all over to aid in airflow, including the eight available expansion slot covers. We also get a sneak preview of a few of the additional liquid cooling installation options regarding the various mounting holes and locations. There is one 140mm rear exhaust fan installed here by default.
The bottom of the chassis has several rubber feet as well as two large filters that are removable for ease of cleaning.
The top of the chassis houses a large removable vent plate, which is also filtered. Also found on the top of the chassis are the power button as well as the power and HDD activity LEDs.
Now that we have examined the exterior of the Enthoo Primo, let us take a closer look at the interior to find out more about what we can install into this work of art!
