The 180mm side fan comes with the case, not sure why it is labeled as optional. You can certainly remove it if you want to. There are mounts in the side so you can use a 120mm fan instead of the 180mm if you want to. All told it looks like there is a decent amount of airflow, though not a staggeringly large amount.
The front mounted fan controller, LED controller, audio and USB ports are what I am excited about, the recent trend of top mounted USB ports is a major issue for people like me who have their computer under their desk. The fan controller and LED controller I’m excited to see and test because I think it is fantastic that some cases come with them these days.
See that External Drive Bays listing? Nine slots for 5.25″ drives is off the hook, I’ll have to look into that!
No top fans is rare these days, but may actually be a plus. While they help with airflow they also give the computer a terrible vulnerability to liquid spills. If you spill on a case with a solid top you’ll probably get away with it. Not so for a case with lots of fans on top!
Onward to the case!
