The Case: Interior
Now let’s take a look at the interior of the case shall we?
But first I want to take a look at the accessory box included with the case.
We have a multi-language user manual, a Spire warranty cards, an 8-pin extension cable, 2 cable binders, some zip ties, 2 top dust filters (not shown on picture) and some installation screws in bags.
Lets take a look at the space, Its not a super big case, but it has all the space it needs, no problem to mount an ATX-board, a large Power supply and a (or multiple) big VGA cards. Hard Disks or ssd’s are also no proble with 8 bays
Like the X2 6018 the 6011B also has a CPU cutout for easily installing or switching CPU coolers without removing the whole motherboard. Also you can see the standoffs are already installed, I find this a nice thing.
Here we have the 8 drive bay cages Its really nice you can remove upper one to get some more airflow or more space for big VGA cards. Its nice they include 2 cages but there are few people who have 4 or more HDD or SSD’s , the standard users normaly only use a HDD for their system and more advanced users and the home builders generally use a small SSD for Windows (or Linux) and some programs they use often and maybe some games, for mass storage they use a big HDD or sometimes 2. But i have rarely seen anyone who was using 6 or even 8 HDD’s.
Like i said the upper drive cage is removable by just pressing two clips. So you have better airflow or more space for big VGA cards
The only downside about the drive slots, the release clips are not so strong, i broke one off already and if you slide them out most of the time they are stuck to the one beneath them but else its a good system. Also for SSD’s you can easily mount them in the slot by just lining em up with the holes and screw it in.
We have three 5.25″ dive bays what i find a little weird because the cheaper 6018 had 5 bays, although 3 bays are enough for modern computer you can install a CD/DVD burner, fan controler,…
Also for expansion possibilities, we don’t have to complain. With 8 PCIe slots its more then enough to install all you want: Two-way SLI or CrossfireX, A soundcard,… you can even set up a 4-way SLI or CrossfireX configuration!
Also Cable management is no problem with this case you have tons of options, you have more than 8 cable hole, zip tieattachment points and cable clips! so its really good, and thats how it should be. Today cable management is a Must!
So that was the inside! Now’s let’s go to the final verdict and conclusion ….
