Spire X2.6018 Mid-Tower Chassis Review

Installation Space

The X2.6018 is a mid-tower case capable of housing up to ATX-sized motherboards.

You have plenty of room to install the motherboard without problems on the top you have room for 2 120mm Fans to cool you’re computer. you even have space to install a 240mm radiator to cool your cpu, but then you have to install your fans on top of your case. And i don’t even know why you shoud install a 240mm radiator in a ‘cheaper’ case.

Under in the case you have enough space to even install fairly long PSU’s, with a cable hole next to the PSU it’s really easy to route cables behind the motherboard tray, but i have to admit the hole is a little big small for a 24 PIN MOBO connection and some other peripheral cables like SATA or Molex. but you also can route them behind the tray past the Hard drive slots, there is a big gap you can easily use to hide cables if you don’t have a modular PSU.

In this case installing optical drives, fancontrolers, other front bay drives and 3.5″ Hard drives is easy as cake. You just need to flip the switches on both side to ‘unlock’ then slide in the drive and flip the switches to ‘lock’ again, you almost can’t make it easier.

If you want to install a 2.5″ drive or an SSD’s thats a different story then you do need one of these:

2.5 inch adapter

A 2.5″ to 3.5″ adapter and luckily it only costs about 10 Euro’s, but it would be nice if X2 included one because a lot of people these days use an SSD, of course you just can hang your SSD somewhere on the ground but some people just like to place it in a bay like other HDD’s
