Thermaltake Ceres 500 TG ARGB Mid Tower Chassis Review

Today, we’ll be taking a look at the Thermaltake Ceres 500 TG ARGB Mid Tower Chassis. It features a metal frame at the front of the case which gives it a unique look and design. It also comes with a 3mm hinged tempered glass panel on the left side, offering stunning views. The hinged design makes removing the side panel easy, and allows you to access to components with ease.

This chassis is designed with excellent cooling performance in mind, and comes with four CT140 ARGB Sync fans pre-installed, 3 in the front and 1 ata the back It also has more than 60% of its panels that are perforated to allow maximum airflow. For water cooling enthusiasts, it can support up to a 420mm radiator at the front, or dual 360mm radiators at the front and on the top.

One of the features I really like is the rotational PCI-E slots design, which gives you the option to display your graphics card either horizontally or vertically (PCIE riser cable required). It also includes a GPU holder/stand which gives support to graphics card if mounted horizontally.

Finally, you can purchase an optional 3.9” LCD Panel Kit, which allows you to monitor real-time information and upload any images or GIFs to add extra flair using the TT RGB Plus 2.0 software.

Thermaltake Ceres 500 TG ARGB Mid Tower Chassis comes in two flavours. The standard black version and the Snow edition. We’ll be reviewing the Snow edition because this is the chassis we’ll be using for our upcoming Funky Kit PC project build (2023).

The chassis is a mid tower size and easily fits a Mini-ITX, Micro-ATX, full-size ATX, and according to the specifications, a massive E-ATX motherboard can also be installed too.

It comes with 3 pre-installed CT140 ARGB cooling fans, one at the rear and 3 at the front of the chassis. Each fan is 140mm in size with a fan speed of 1500rpm, and a noise level of 30.5 dBA.

Front I/O ports include 1 x USB 3.2 Gen2 (Type-C), 2 x USB 3.0, Mic-in, Line-out, power-on button and a reset switch.

For our system build, we’ll be installing an Asus ROG Strix Z790-E WiFi Gaming motherboard, an Intel Core i9-13900K, Thermaltake ToughPower GF3 1000W PSU, Thermaltake ToughLiquid 360 Ultra AIO cooler, 2 x 16GB Patriot Viper Gaming DDR5-6200 ram, Lexar NM800 PRO PCIE Gen4 SSD, and a EVGA GeForce RTX 3090.

Let the system build begin! … but before we do that, we’ll start by taking a look at the features and specifications of the chassis in our page.

You can buy the Thermaltake Ceres 500 TG ARGB Snow Mid Tower Chassis for around USD $169.99 from Amazon – https://amzn.to/40tpZ6z
