Thermaltake Chaser A71 Full-Tower Chassis Review

Photos Part Two: The Case

We’ve already established that the A71 is essentially a bigger A31, so there may be some similar points that we touched on in that review.

Probably the most important feature right off the bat is the greater number of fans.  The A31 gave you a lot of room for extras but only came with two of its own.  Whereas here you’ll be begging for a jacket and a hot coffee with the two 200mm’s (one top and one side panel) as well as the expected front and rear 120mm’s.  But just in case you don’t feel cold enough, you have the option to add a second top 200mm fan.  Yes, airflow isn’t really a concern, nor should it be.  Of course you might be worried about noise with that much windage; luckily that’s not much of a problem either.  At full capacity the fans never get beyond a dull roar, which is about right for most people.

There are two more USB slots which means you can plug in your keyboard and mouse and still have enough room for any other peripherals that come to mind.  I know that’s probably not unexpected and may even seem a bit trivial, but I think it’s at least a welcome sight since I myself use several others and like to be able to reach them.
