Photos Part 1: External Inspection
I’m going to shock everybody by starting with the box here.
The zbox nano xs ad11 plus really is small enough to go almost anywhere. It’ll hang on the back of a LCD quite happily. Alternatively it is lightweight enough that you could probably just hang it from its cords. That isn’t recommended though.
Ok time to actually open the box!
Inside the box we find….. A box! Not a very exciting box, either. I’ll open it too!
Hey there’s stuff in the box! Like a quick start guide that covers upgrading the hardware, but glosses over the issue of no OS and no optical drive. It’s a useful guide, I’m just not sure it’s a quick start guide.
Under that is an envelope with a bunch of stuff in it:
Now we’re getting somewhere, we have a driver DVD and a mini-cd with drivers for the USB WiFi adapter. Quite personally, I hate mini-cds. We also have a warranty term card for bonus points.
Under all that stuff we have the real heart of the matter:
Cardboard! I love cardboard! Ok actually I don’t, but I do enjoy what arrives in it a lot of the time, I’ll lay out the stuff hiding here.
You get a fairly extensive collection of stuff, there’s a VESA mount (and screws), a USB IR reciever, a cute little USB Wireless-N dongle with antenna, a remote, batteries for said remote, a fairly juicy power brick (19 V, 3.42 A. Rather more than I expect the Nano xs ad11 plus to draw) and a power cord for the brick.
