Alphacool Core 1 White and Aurora Black CPU Water Block Review

Conclusion

Let’s recap on our previous conclusion  – Alphacool improved an already good product, and gave us the Core 1 – a great performing CPU water block with a minimalistic yet eye-catching design.

I’m usually quite picky, but I can’t find clear downsides to the Core 1. Everything I didn’t like in previous Alphacool CPU water blocks, was improved. The performance, mounting kit, and aesthetics. Everything is better, and the product price is without significant changes.

I like that Alphacool offers a white version of the Core 1. Barely any other brand has white CPU coolers, while there is a market demand for white components. We could say it’s not so big deal, but it’s a clear advantage if you think about a wholly white PC. I wish to see white soft tube fittings for the set, as they’re available only in the hard tube version.

I also like how RGB is implemented. It’s not too bright, and the backlight is just perfect. You can’t count LEDs like on competitive coolers.

The price is one more advantage. Most competitive coolers cost more and perform worse. We don’t have to think long to say that the Core 1 is a good deal when it costs €99.98 without RGB or €119.98 with RGB. All Core 1 versions are available in the Alphacool store.

Final words:

The Alphacool Core 1 is a huge step forward for anyone who wants to liquid-cool their CPU. It’s hard to find any disadvantages of this product. The water block delivers top cooling performance, exceptional aesthetics, and high compatibility. It’s also cheaper than other competitive water blocks on the market. If you are looking for the best-performing, but not overpriced CPU water block, then the Core 1 is clearly the product for you!

You can buy the Alphacool Core 1 Aurora Black RGB cooler for around €119.98, directly from Alphacool Store.
