A Closer Look
After further inspection of the Antec Kuhler 1250, I began to notice the durability of the cooling unit. The all-in-one unit can take the stress of twisting, pulling and kinking of the hoses. The hoses are glued very well to the pumps. That could be an issue if you wanted to change the hoses to clear. The heat sink came with your standard thermal paste applied to the cooper plated heatsink. That was cleaned off and the heatsink was inspected for warping and scratches. The heatsink showed to be absolutely true and was no evidence of warping. The copper base while not having a mirror like reflection the milling marks were slightly visible and symmetrical. Seeing the symmetrical milling marks is a good indication that the base is true and will touch 100% of the CPU and achieve maximum cooling. All the connection cables are clearly tagged making for easy installation. The overall scheme of cooling unit is somewhat simple consisting of white fans and the Antec logo on the pumps that are attached to the fan. The heat sink does have an awesome RBG led indicator that illuminates to indicate the current temperature of the CPU.
The Antec Grid Software that is included on a disc is easy-to-use. The controls are customizable ranging from the fan settings to RGB settings. There is a function to show temperature and fan speed data in a graph and ability export to a file.
