Antec Neptune 240 All-in-One ARGB Liquid CPU Cooler Review

The Box and Packaging

So what’s inside the box? Well, there’s a bag full of CPU brackets, screws, mounts, but no  thermal paste (it’s already pre-applied on the water block unit). It’s compatible for the following CPU type including … Intel LGA 2066/2011-3/2011/1366/1156/1155/1151/1150/1200, and for AMD AM4/AM3+/AM3/AM2+/AM2/FM2+/FM2/FM1, including Threadripper too!

The Ultra-Thin Waterblock

The Neptune 240’s water block is actually quite thin, which means it should be compatible with a majority of motherboards out there. Both the weight and height of the water block is reduced.

With no built-in pump on the water block, there’s only one cable … and that’s for the ARGB lighting. On the underside of the water block, you’ll find the copper base with some pre-applied thermal past.

High Pressure Static Fans

The package comes with two ARGB PWM fans (900-1600 PWM) with a max airflow of 77CFM, and a noise level of 20-36 dB(A). There’s two cables, one to power the fan, while the other plugs into the included ARGB controller.

The Radiator and Built-in Pump

On the top of the 240mm radiator, you’ll find the water pump, which helps to reduce vibrations and thus reducing damage to the CPU and motherboard. The pump is powered by a SATA power cable.

The actual radiator is made from Aluminum and has a fairly solid construction, and comes with a nice Antec design strip, which runs along each side of the radiator.
