That’s right folks I’m back, this time I have a CPU cooler in my hands rather than a power supply however!
Todays suspect is Arctic’s (formerly known as Arctic Cooling) new Alpine 11 PLUS CPU cooler, it is aimed at the low end of the heatsink scale, and promises to stomp the stock Intel cooler into the ground despite having a whopping MSRP of $14.95!
It fits both LGA775 as well as LGA1155/1156 and having looked at the coolers that come with the LGA1155 (SandyBridge) chips I don’t doubt Arctic claims! I will, of course, test them. That happens later though, next up is what Arctic”s website has to say about the cooler.
“The Alpine 11 PLUS is a better value-for-money option for you to replace your generic stock cooler because it provides an enhanced cooling performance and lowered noise level. Its 92mm PWM-controlled fan cools your Intel CPU at the required temperature. Furthermore, the Alpine 11 PLUS comes with pre-applied MX-4 thermal compound and a transport-proof push-pin mounting system for quick installation and maximum user-friendliness.” |
OK, let’s not waste any more time and take a closer look at the ARCTIC Alpine 11 PLUS CPU Cooler. Next up, specs!
