Cooler Master MasterAir G100M Low Profile CPU Cooler Review

Unboxing and Installation

Here is everything included in the box. Inside the bag to the right is all of the required mounting hardware as well as the RGB controller and a small tube of thermal paste.Inside one of the bags is all of the mounting equipment as well as the RGB controller, and thermal paste.

Overall I am quite pleased with everything that is included with the cooler. You have all the mounted hardware and tools needed for wide range of sockets and free thermal paste is always a plus!

Installation

For my socket you use two of these. You then slide one of these plastic clips over the metal pins to hold them in place. For my CPU it slots into the second groove.
The metal arms screw into this hole on the cooler. With both arms screwed in this is what the cooler looks like. Each corner of the mounting bracket uses one of these metal pins that have a screw hole on the other end.On the front end you screw in four of the double sided screws.I did have a small issue where one side wouldn't fit right unless i put the mounting screw in crooked.

No other reviews that I read had this issue so my guess is that it was a manufacturing defect with my cooler.Once installed it looks really good.

Overall installation was fairly straight forward. But due to the low profile nature it was fairly difficult to get to the screws under the cooler in order to mount it. Also RAM clearance could be an issue I have low profile RAM and it barely fit under the cooler so keep that in mind if you have taller RAM. I would highly recommend installing installing this cooler outside.

Now onto the main review!
