Installation
We mounted two Cooler Master MasterFan MF120 Halo² fans on to the radiator of the Cooler Master MasterLiquid PL240 Flux AIO cooler. Everything went as planned with no issues at all.
RGB in Full Effect
The Cooler Master MasterFan MF120 Halo² fans looks fantastic. As you can see, I’ve just mounted them on to the radiator and plugged in the 4-pin PWM cable and 3-pin ARGB cables directly on to the motherboard. No controllers needed!
The ARGB lighting can be controlled by the software provided by motherboard manufacturer. The good news is that these fans are compatible with all the major RGB eco-systems out there, including Asus’s Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion and ASRock’s Polychrome Sync.
Alternatively, you can also uses Cooler Master’s MasterPlus+ software to customize each individual LED for different colors, effects, brightness and more.
Cooling Performance
Idle temperatures was around 36 degrees Celsius, which is pretty normal and nothing out of the ordinary. Fan speeds range from a low of 1,016 rpm to high of 1,391 rpm.
At full load, temperatures reached a high of 71 degrees Celsius which is pretty good. It’s a few degrees lower than the original fans that came bundled with the PL240 Flux AIO cooler. So I’m happy with the results.
Fans speeds reached a high of 2,073 rpm during full load.
