Conclusion and Verdict
If you are one that likes to keep your rig outfitted with the newest and greatest then the Illusion may be what you are looking for. Like the name states, the lighting capabilities are truly an Illusion. As you may have noticed the pump doesn’t look like it would have very much RGB. This can be an awesome feature if you are looking for something stealthy. Honestly the smoked transparent pump lets the light blast through with out any detriment to the color or brightness. The fans also have more than average RGB. There are 4 separate rings along with the fan blades. If you want a subtle look before the real show, the Illusion is a perfect choice.
So, how did the ML240 Illusion do? The things I liked: I liked the pump performance. I always closely listen and check the hoses for vibration an 100% at a speed setting. Both the noise and vibrations where very minimal. In fact the noise was almost inaudible. The vibration was just enough to let you know the pump was working and moving fluid. I also really like the MF120 Halo fans. These fans are quite and move a decent amount of air at 1800RPM. 47.2 CFM and 1.6mm H20 to be exactly. I also found the mounting hardware easy to use. Lastly, the hoses are braided which adds to the high quality look. What great if your motherboard doesn’t have a connector for the RGB you can utilize the included controller which is a nice bonus for those motherboards that don’t have that function.
