Conclusion and Verdict
In, conclusion the Masterliquid ML240P Mirage is a solid performing AIO. The cooler performs as well as expected. The biggest draw for me was the transparent pump. I have heard several people say they cringe when they cant see the water moving in an AIO. Well not anymore with this one from Cooler Master. The ability to see the pump spin is a nice insurance policy knowing everything is working as it should be. I played around with the light through my motherboard settings (ROG Maximus X Hero) and just went back to the default lighting pattern. I like the pastel pattern cycle the best. The colors from the fans and pump are crisp and bright. The cooling was a tad better than the MasterLiquid Pro 240. I was impressed that they were able to better the cooling. The performance may increase may not extravagant but there is a point were you can only achieve so much before you hit a wall with a similar set of cooling design solutions.
Water does have limits to the amount of heat that is transferable and I want to thank Cooler Master for trying and developing something new and outside the box. We cant argue with the results as this cooler was able to compete with one at a larger size.
