Conclusion and Verdict
There are many AIO coolers on the market these days. Some will include a separate controller for the cooling fans and RGB lighting. This can be a great solution, as it allows full control and synchronization of the fans and RGB lighting using the appropriate software. However, the main problem you get, is the amount of extra cabling associated with such a setup, which can be unattractive and a little infuriating to manage all those loose cables.
For me, I usually prefer an AIO that doesn’t require a controller, which means less cables for both the cooling fans and RGB lighting. And luckily, Corsair has come up with the controller-less Nautilus 360 RS ARGB Liquid CPU Cooler.
The package comes with with 3 x RS120 ARGB cooling fans featuring AirGuide technology and Magnetic Dome bearings, which can be daisy-chained and plugged directly on to the motherboard. No controllers needed. These fans offer a maximum speed of 2,100 rpm, and gives you an airflow of between 13.3 – 72.8 CFM with a maximum noise level of only 36 dBA.
The CPU waterblock features a low-noise pump and a copper plate that has a slightly convex design. And this ensures optimal contact with your CPU’s integrated heat spreader for maximum heat dissipation. Furthermore, it comes thermal paste pre- applied which is an added bonus.
At 100% full load, the CPU core temperature of our Intel Core i9-14900K reached a high of only 72 degrees Celsius, while the CPU package hit a maximum of 81 degrees Celsius. These temperature readings are pretty impressive for an AIO cooler. So I’m more than happy with the results.
With no controller, you now have less cabling to attend with. But that doesn’t mean you can’t control your fans or the RGB lighting. This can be configured in the BIOS of the motherboard or via the motherboard’s software such as Asus AURA Sync, ASRock Polychome Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light Sync.

Final thoughts:
The Corsair Nautilus 360 RS ARGB Liquid CPU Cooler offers good cooling performance at an extremely attractive price. It’s compatible with all the major motherboard RGB eco-systems, and features a controller-less daisy-chain connectivity for both the cooling fans and ARGB lighting.
