Conclusion and Verdict
In, conclusion the Cougar Aqua 240 is a solid performing AIO. The cooler performs as well as expected. The biggest thing with the AIO are possible leaks. The hoses are exceptional quality and the construction passes the eye test. I played around with the lighting through my motherboard settings (ROG Maximus X Hero) and one thing to note you have to use the controller to get the lights working in my experiences. If you don’t use the remote control it doesn’t seem like the light ever changes from white. I was confused at first but them I started using the remote and the light began to sync with my motherboard. The colors from the pump are crisp and bright. I was impressed with the install and performance. The performance may not be at the top of the ones I have tested to date but the temps are pretty close and this will definitely offer a better solution than most air coolers.
Water does have limits to the amount of heat that is transferable and I want to thank Cougar for developing something we can count on cooling our rig. We cant argue with the results as this cooler was able to keep our chip nice and cool.
