A Closer Look
Right away, you can see the excellent build quality of the heatsink. It’s quite heavy and weighs around 1kg. You can also see the 7 heat-pipes (6mm diameter) and the nickel clad copper base. The heatsink is also packed with cooling fins, that are strong and robust, and should give plenty of surface are for efficient cooling.
Notice the elegant cap décor on the end of the heat-pipes. It’s not only for great aesthetics, but actually helps prevent oxidation of the heat pipes.
Courgar MHP Fans Included
You’ll find 2 Cougar MHP140-A and MHP120 high-performance fans included with the package. The larger 140mm fan should be mounted in the center of the heatsink, while the smaller 120mm fan can be mounted on either side depending on your preference (or availble space).
Nickel Clad Copper Base
The base of the heatsink is made from Nickel Clad Copper with a highly polished surface that enhances the heat transfer mechanism and significantly improves conductance and cooling capability.
Remember to remove the sticker before mounting the heatsink to the CPU. Believe me, I’ve seen people forgetting to remove the sticker (me included)!
