Specifications
Above specifications have been taken from the CRYORIG website. Website itself looks great. Simple but clear and contains all you need. That’s why I decided to add specification made by CRYORIG. If someone made it right then why not to use it.
I will add some additional informations which I observed during the tests.
Fan is rated for maximum of 2500 rpm but even during maximum processor load ( overclocked i5 6600K ) it wasn’t exceeding 2200 rpm. I’m talking about temperatures above 80°C. At this speed we can clearly hear it but it’s not generating annoying whistling noise or anything like that. During normal, mixed load it’s really quiet and you will rather hear anything else around than the fan itself.
Height is 47mm so about the same as used for tests G.Skill Trident Z memory which is a tall model. You can see it on some photos in this review. It’s also about as big as Intel reference cooler which fits everywhere. On some photos you can also see how perfectly measured is CRYORIG C7. Wherever Intel reference cooler fits, there also fits C7. It’s really important if you wish to build small PC.
CRYORIG C7 has arrived in a retail box which contains all what you need to install the cooler. There is manual, tools, screws, backplate and C7 thermal paste. CRYORIG decided to add higher performance thermal paste what is good idea considering that on so small space everything counts.
Package is quite small but well designed. While unpacking you can feel that inside is something high quality.
CRYORIG is sure about its products quality and is offering standard warranty of 3 years. What more, after registration of your new cooler, you can extend standard warranty by next 3 years. In total there is 6 year limited warranty what is amazing comparing to any competition.
Bottom of the heatsink is well polished. Maybe not mirror finish but as you see on attached photo, it’s one of the best you can find on the market.
The only issue which can happen is that backplate may not fit on all available motherboards. We had little issues on MSI Z170I Gaming Pro AC because of chipset heatsink screw but it was easily solved. I already received info from CRYORIG that soon will be available version with new mounting mechanism without backplate.
What can I add. CRYORIG looks great. You just feel it’s high quality product at each step.
For most users performance is more important than looks. I already know how C7 performs. Let’s move to the next page to see test results.

Will the Cryorig C7 be good enough for an i7 6700k (non overclock)? I want to build a gaming PC with a Fractal Design Node 202 sff case, so I need to know. Thanks.
It will be enough if in case will be good airflow. However if you are going to load CPU some more then fan can generate some noise. Games are usually not using full CPU power.
I was testing C7 also on 6700K but out of case. I guess it will be fine if power saving options will be enabled and you won’t overclock the CPU ( or overclock it at about 1.05-1.1V max ).
