Specifications
Above we can see specification of CRYORIG M9i. I used the one which we can find on the CRYORIG website as detailed and well prepared. Looking at the picture you can already see that M9i is quite small cooler. It should fit to any Intel based motherboard and work with any RAM height. For tests I was using tall G.Skill Trident Z memory which had a lot of free space near the cooler.
Below we can see the package in which we’ve received CRYORIG M9i. It’s a retail box with small Intel sign in the top right corner. There is also version for AMD processors.
Box is small but well designed. The same as with CRYORIG C7 you just feel it’s high quality product even though box may look simple.
Additional photos are showing how package looks like from all sides. Outside is everything you need so short product description and more detailed specification. It clearly says for what platform this cooler is designed.
Package contains all you need to install the cooler. We have all mounting elements ( in this case for Intel motherboards ), thermal paste, user’s manual and warranty card.
Warranty card is actually important as it extends standard 3 year warranty by next 3 years. I was really surprised that after registration of our new cooler we can get 6 year warranty in total. It’s more than average life of a desktop PC.
In the box you can find warranty card for extended 3 year warranty. All you have to do is to register your product to receive additional support.
CRYORIG M9i comes with 92mm fan which is specified to spin up to 2200 rpm. In our tests maximum speed was below 2200 rpm and for most of the time was near 1400 rpm what was really quiet.
As we see on the below photo, bottom of the M9i is well polished. It’s about as good as in previously reviewed C7 cooler.
On the photo we can also see CP15 thermal paste. CRYORIG C7 was delivered with slightly better paste CP7 but it shouldn’t change performance much. CP15 spreads well and is also offering good performance.
At the end couple of more photos showing heatsink and heatpipes.
