A Closer Look and Installation
The cooler is white, and it’s good news for all who wish for a white PC, as most brands stick with a black theme only. Tubes are braided and have additional holders. Overall, the build quality is excellent, and even though I’m picky, I can’t really find any disadvantages.
The radiator has leak protection, about which we can read in the key features. It’s a good idea as, under higher temperatures, there is additional pressure in the loop, which may cause leaks. I haven’t seen problems like that in AIO coolers, as they’re usually not full of coolant, but it sometimes happens in custom loops. It’s still a good idea.
The cold plate is made of copper and has improved microchannels to help in liquid flow and heat exchange. Looking at our results, it works well. I will tell you about the results in a moment.
The pump/block is white with a mirror-effect top and RGB illumination. It seems like a simple way to give an awesome result. The top can be replaced by a semi-transparent plate which can be additionally modified to use a self-designed logo. More details are on the product website.
Installation
Deepcool prepared a video with the installation guide for LS series coolers, which you can see below.
The installation is quite simple, and everything is well described in the manual. ARGB illumination works excellently and can be synchronized with other devices. There was no problem managing it via ASUS motherboard software.
The pump is very quiet, even at higher speeds. We can keep it at a lower speed, so it’s silent and still performs well enough for optimal results. At automatic settings, it was hard to hear it, even under a high CPU load.
Below are photos of the test setup. In a closed PC case, it all depends on the airflow and the heat from other components, so you can expect higher temperatures.
The above photos show how exceptional the cooler looks. LEDs are bright and give live colors.
