Specifications and Features
Looking at the specification, we can say that the Liqmax II is well designed. The table says that heatspreader is made of aluminum what is quite typical in higher AIO series. Also fans offer high air pressure what is great. Some brands are using typical fans which are not the best to push air through tight radiator fins.
Let’s take a look at the product package.
The Liqmax II 240 arrived in a retail package which is a well described box. Outside the box we can find info about the product. There is quite detailed specification and pretty much everything we may need to know about the Liqmax II 240.
Inside the box we will find the cooler, two 120mm fans, mounting kit, thermal grease and manual. Quite typical so everything what you may need to install your new cooler.
The fans look a bit unusual and are called Double Batwing. On both sides of the fans are rubber pads to reduce any potential vibrations. Fans have also switch for three step speed what raises maximum RPM from 1200 to 2000. I was a bit surprised that up to about 1500 RPM fans were still quiet. Maybe not silent but I’m used to hear much louder fans. I guess that unusual design affects airflow and except higher air pressure also reduces noise.
The Liqmax II looks like a typical AIO cooler but has couple of elements which make you feel it’s somehow better product. There are these little differences that matter to enthusiasts. Especially when you install the kit and everything fits exactly like it supposed to.
Cold plate is made of copper so also typical for AIO. I don’t think that anyone is using anything else. Some brands are covering copper with nickel and that’s all. What is worth to mention is that surface of the copper plate is really flat. It doesn’t have mirror finish but had perfect contact with processor’s IHS. Backplate is made of metal and works with all platforms described in the specification so modern Intel and AMD sockets.
On the photos below you can see white LEDs in the water block. It looks stylish as LEDs are not too flashy. I guess that many users will like this effect.
At the end some more photos as there is never enough of photos, especially when product looks great.
