Box and Packaging
The AIO unit is neat and securely packed . You get all the necessary brackets, retention mounts and screws for installing various CPUs.
A Closer Look
The waterblock looks great. I love the EVGA logo, which lights up when the system is powered up. I also like the sleeved tubing, which makes the whole unit look sleek and stylish.
The RGB LEDs are fully programmable using the software which is downloadable from EVGA’s website. Make sure you connect the included USB cable to the waterblock at one end, while the other end will connect to the USB header on the motherboard.
Installation
EVGA’s CLC 280 unit looks, and feels very solid. I’ve mounted other AIO units before, and by far this is one of the easiest I’ve mounted so far. The EVGA Flow control software allows you to control fan speed, RGB lighting, pump control, as well as saving your own profiles.
I didn’t come across any problems during installation. Here, I used an EVGA X299 Micro motherboard, Intel Core i5-7640X, Zotac GeForce GTX 1080, Patriot Hellfire M.2 SSD and 2 sticks of G.Skill Trident-Z DDR4-3200.
