Conclusion and Verdict
All-in-all, the Hyte THICC Q60 is quite an impressive AIO cooler. Normally, I wouldn’t recommend a standard AIO with a 240mmm radiator, especially when you’re trying to cool the Intel Core i9-14900K, which is known to run extrememly hot at full load. But in this case, the Hyte THICC Q60 seems handle it with no issues at all. This is all thanks to it’s ginromous 52mm THICC radiator with Dual Harmonic Pumps, which Hyte describes as a Heat Exchanger and uses a parallel dual-pass design.
Radiator aside, the next important element of the AIO cooler are cooling fans. And let me tell you … Hyte spared no expense to make sure these fans did the job! You get 2 x 32mm THICC FP12 fans delivering a mind blowing 105.8 CFM, and 8.14 mm-H2O static pressure, as well as a fairly low nosie level of only 47.3 dBA.
During our tests, we used an Intel Core i9-14900K processor which has a default TDP of 125W. Idle temperatures was around 32 degrees Celsius. However, at 100% full load with Turbo Boost on (TDP of 253W), the temperatures reached a high 88 degrees Celsius with the CPU package at 99 degrees Celsius. These temperature reading may not look impressive, but believe me … it’s far better than most 360 AIO coolers out there. So as far as cooling is concerned, I’m more than happy with the results.
The 5” Ultraslim IPS Display is the largest I’ve seen for an AIO cooler. There’s no AIO with a larger screen. Period. With a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, a refresh rate of 60Hz, and a brightness of 300 nits, it provides an incredibly crisp and smooth visual experience. The display can be easily configured and customized using Hyte’s Nexus software, which you can download from their website.
A couple of things I wished Hyte could have included. Firstly, the tubing should have been wrapped with a white nylon sleeve instead of black. And secondly, the pre-installed THICC FP12 cooling fans does not have RGB (I’m a big RGB fan LOL!) Apart from that, the overall cooling performance of the AIO is very good, and the aesthetics from the massive 5” Ultraslim IPS display looks extremely attractive.
You can buy the Hyte THICC Q60 AIO Cooler for around USD $299.99 from Hyte’s official website – https://hyte.com/store/q60?v=293 or Visit our Amazon store – https://amzn.to/3X4LSrJ
Although the price may seem a little high, you are getting a lot in terms of features and cooling performance, and don’t forget that massive 5” Ultraslim IPS display which just looks fantastic.
Final thoughts:
The Hyte THICC Q60 is an excellent AIO cooler that will look great in any PC, especially when you have a massive 5” Ultraslim IPS display that you can fully customize using the Nexus software. It offers good cooling performance and comes with a load of unique features that you won’t find on any other AIO coolers out there.
For these reasons, the Hyte THICC Q60 deservedly wins our Editor’s Choice award.
