Noctua NH-L9i Compact CPU Cooler Review

Conclusion and Verdict

Noctua NH-L9i is high quality and well performing compact cooler. As I mentioned at the beginning of this review, not many similar coolers are available on the market and for sure not many can offer so high product quality. Everything looks great including package.

The only thing I would change is probably color of the fan. It looks good but it doesn’t fit to many new motherboards. At least Noctua added set of screws which should help you to install any other fan. Included fan offers good performance and works quiet what is really important for many users ( including me ).

Noctua NH-L9i performs good but we have reviewed CRYORIG C7 which was better while its size was similar. CRYORIG is also cheaper but it’s easier to buy Noctua cooler as there are more users interested in this brand because of well known top quality. Average price is quite high for a cooler this size. Depends from store it can be $49 or even over $60. Amazon has it listed in special price of $39.95 and I think it’s pretty reasonable for all NH-L9i has to offer.

At the end I have to mention that Noctua coolers have 6 year warranty. It’s the longest period of guaranteed support on the cooler market.

Pros:

  • Good performance
  • Quiet work
  • High quality
  • High performance TIM
  • 6 year warranty

Cons:

  • Quite expensive

If you are looking for a compact cooler which can replace Intel reference solution but offers better quality, design and performance then Noctua NH-L9i is a product for you. It’s hard to find many other coolers which are as good for small builds and HTPC so of course NH-L9i deserves our recommendation!
