A Closer Look
As we open the box and take a closer look at the Noctua NH-L9x65 we begin to see the quality and the great detail that Noctua has become known for. The heatsink is shipped with your standard plastic cover over the base. The base has a smooth mirror finish and shows a slight curve near the center of the heatsink. There is a fan preinstalled onto the cooler. The NH-L9x65 uses a compact design with two heat pipes running through the fins and back through the heatsink. The quality really shows when looking through the fins. I could not find one imperfection to speak of.
Let us move on to the part that most of do not look forward too, the installation. Let us see if Noctua has lightened that load for us!
